All about air conditioners

CoolBoat does not sell air conditioners!

But we do all we can to assist our customers in choosing and buying what they need to stay cool.

The current edition of CoolBoat works with any window unit that will slide into the 16.25" wide by 12.25" high opening.

Most 5K BTU window units will fit
 (with the top & side window hardware removed).

The AC manufacturers do us no favors by burying the actual unit dimensions deep in their specs.  Frigidaire has started to offer both sets of dimensions, but online retail sites don't always include them.

To make matters worse, brick & mortar retail stores only display their window units from April to August and even then, they are still in their shipping boxes (and they object to opening them), making it hard to verify the actual dimensions.  CoolBoat wishes we could buy dozens of AC's to verify dimensions, but that isn't a good use of resources and time.

* CoolBoat and Air Conditioners

Though the CoolBoat concept is sort of joined at the hip with a good working AC unit, it is not, in the actual air conditioner business.  Don't want to purchase, inventory, ship, service or deal with the manufacturers or distributors.

So we will do whatever we can to advise, inform or in some cases, make recommendations. We are working to find ways to make sourcing compatible AC units to make things easier for customers.  But so far it has been frustrating and difficult.
