But it doesn't have to cost a fortune and

it can be done in a jiffy.

sleep.  And sleeping well is the best

way to enjoy a great boating experience!

HOW IT WORKS.

CBoatBeveled2.png

CoolBoat will work with many 5000 BTU (and even some 6000 BTU window air conditioners) that are 12.25 inches tall by16.25 inches wide (minus the expandable window-mounting "wing" pieces).

A unit with a remote-control works best, but isn't absolutely necessary.

CoolBoat will fit most conventional opening

deck hatches (16"x16"

to 24"x24" *).

*Hatch bases angled more than 4" will require additional tie-downs or may not be suitable.

The CoolBoat air conditioner adaptor frame unfolds and sets up in about a minute.
Raise the hinged top, insert the side pieces and you are ready to slide in a small AC window unit.

Slide your A/C unit into the opening, Lift the cover to insert and position the Flow Divider, route and connect the power cord and your ready to be COOL!

A unique AC carry strap with a padded handle and stainless steel lifting ring is supplied to facilitate getting your air conditioner on and off your boat.

The CoolBoat A/C adaptor folds flat, with with a sturdy strap to secure it.  Built-in handles make it easy to carry. A 6-mil poly bag accommodates storage.

An Air Conditioner

An air conditioner carrier strap fits snugly into the slots that the unused window expansion pieces would normally occupy.

Marine canvas "raincoat" with

snaps and grommets included.

SIMPLE SETUP

Previous "on-deck" cooling equipment weighed more than 70 lbs. and required positioning a rain cover.

The Coolboat A/C adapter has its own handle, weighs only 7 lb. s and quickly unfolds to a "rain cover" configuration from it's flat carrying configuration.  A sturdy, custom carrying strap makes lifting the A/C unit easy. A stainless lifting ring near the handle allows use of a halyard to aid in getting the heavier (25 to 35 lbs. cooling unit onboard safely.

EFFICIENT

A 5,000 BTU air conditioner can effectively cool a room that measures 100 to 150 square feet. That works out to about 800 to 1200 cubic feet.

Very few boat cabins have vertical sides and 8 ft. headroom but it's should cool the average forepeak berth and main cabin of most boats.

An AC unit with a Wireless Remote is highly recommended.   The remote allows you to effortlessly regulate your cabin temperature. (But it's not absolutely necessary).

$

SMART MONEY

To beat the heat on your boat, your only option has been to permanently install a"Central Air" unit.

They generally work well – but the Condenser/Fan unit, circulation pump and ductwork take up precious storage space.

And purchase and installation (with haul out) runs about $2000 to $4000!  More than that is not unusual.

FINDING AN AC

All the "Big Box" stores sell them. So do all sorts of online retailers. Look for those who offer FREE shipping.

12.25" TALL x 16.25" WIDE

(window mounting brackets removed) is what you need to know.

Depth isn't a problem.

WARM DAYS ......COOL NIGHTS!

In the summer, no matter how big a fan I had, my experience sleeping on a boat without AC was usually miserable. Then I found one of those used marine "Carry-On"AC units at a thrift store. It weighed around 70 lbs. It had a nylon drawstring cover that went over the raised hatch to keep rain out and the cool in. I sold it when I bought a bigger boat.

A mega-corporation bought the company that made them, then discontinued the product when the patent expired. Now they only sell below-deck installed systems starting at around $1200.  Add a haul-out fee for a thru-hull and install bill and you are looking at $3K – $4K plus!

ABOUT COOLBOAT.

CoolBoat was created to serve a need.
A portable air conditioning solution was not available for smaller boats.

Below-decks, boatyard-installed AC cost at least 5X as much, add hundreds of pounds, and take up valuable storage space.

For the money, CoolBoat is the best way to enjoy your boat more often during the warmest weather.
